Program Description

Adult Day Program Specialized Habilitation (SH) We provide a myriad of services that are tailored to offer support to increase mobility, decision making, consumer skills, relationship building, and communication skills as outlined in their Service Plan (SP). We plan a variety of social, recreational, and educational programs that can be modified and adapted to meet the individual needs and interests of each client. As such we offer various trivia and word games, as well as visual matching, and other sensory stimulating activities. In addition, we offer daily stretching, range of motion, and light resistance exercises combined with physical games such as balloon volleyball, scarf juggling, and dancing. Our clients have an opportunity to participate in discussions, karaoke, parties, and other games to provide socialization. Other activities include but are not limited to: arts and crafts, cooking and baking, pet therapy, gardening, field trips, birthday and holiday celebrations. In addition, clients have the opportunity to meet new people and build friendships. We provide free nutritious meals as well.

Supported Community Connections (SCC) We provide opportunities for clients to take part in community activities such as community education or training, retirement, and volunteer activities. We offer classes in which clients can learn skills like beginners sign language, basic reading, writing, and math skills, social enrichment and creative expression: acting, seasonal crafts, and dance, personal enrichment: relationship skills, music and art appreciation, and internet use, independent living skills: cooking, home maintenance, self-defense, and skin care.
