Memory Cafe: The Tarnished Brass Performance

February 3 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
Two older adults play cards at the library.

Memory Cafe is a fun place to socialize, relax, and engage with people experiencing memory loss and their families/caregivers. Each cafe has a focus—such as music or art—to facilitate the main goal, which is a social connection for individuals with shared experiences. At the Memory Cafe, you can just be yourself — without worrying about remembering or forgetting.

Theme: The Tarnished Brass Performance

Description: Join The Tarnished Brass for joyous music including classical masterpieces, pops, and jazz standards. We usually perform as a quintet, although we’ll also be playing some music as a trio and quartet, and we will discuss the history of brass ensembles and the different sonorities and qualities of various brass instruments.

About Presenter: The Tarnished Brass is a semi-professional brass ensemble that strives to bring fun and levity to the (mostly) classical music listening experience.
