Memory Cafe: Music in Motion with Colorado Ballet and Colorado Symphony

Memory Cafe is a fun place to socialize, relax, and engage with people experiencing memory loss and their families/caregivers. Each cafe has a focus—such as music or art—to facilitate the main goal, which is a social connection for individuals with shared experiences. At the Memory Cafe, you can just be yourself — without worrying about remembering or forgetting.

Theme: Music in Motion with Colorado Symphony and Colorado Ballet

Description: Join members of the Colorado Symphony and Colorado Ballet for Music In Motion. Participants in this workshop can engage with music and dance through guided movement that helps build or increase mobility, strength, flexibility, blood flow, and balance while listening to common, recognizable music. The experience will end with opportunities for creative expression and community connection to boost mood and leave participants humming their favorite tunes. Participation will always be flexible and modifiable (e.g., seated or standing.)
