Respite Care Inc. serves families throughout Larimer County who have children between the ages of birth and 21 years old with some type of developmental disability.
Adult Respite Care: This Foothills Gateway program provides short term relief from daily care giving responsibilities in a home-like setting for individuals age 18 and older. Adult Care Services (ACS) is open for respite services and care 24 hours a day, seven days a week (closed for some holidays). Families can schedule a short period of time within one day or up to 14 days. Day program is also available at ACS, Monday through Friday, 8am – 4pm for those eligible under the Elderly, Blind and Disabled Waiver (EBD). Activities are provided on site and in the community. Staff support and encourage learning and increasing living, socialization and communication skills. Individuals on the waiting list, in EBD, in Supported Living Services or private pay funds can receive this service.
Staff to individual ratio is 1:4.
