To receive respite, your loved one needs to have respite services on either Children’s Extensive Support Waiver (CES) or the Supported Living Services (SLS) service plan drafted by a Community Centered Board case manager. The respite service provider needs to be a Program Approved Service Agency (PASA)-approved agency. NTSOC is a PASA-approved agency that can assist you with your needs.
Respite can only be provided by an individual who is not the parent, guardian or primary caregiver of the person who requires care. Frequently, a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or individual training to become a CNA can pick up more time and experience by assisting an individual who qualifies for respite.
